I haven't properly posted anything yet from the Lara Jade workshop. It's mostly because I'm being a perfectionist and don't try to retouch them. I'm afraid that the retouched photos won't 'meet my standards'. I like the photos I made quite a lot and to edit them in a way which 'finishes it', is hard.
Which is also why I asked the amazing Catherine Day to retouch one of the images especially since she has a discount action going on (and still has, folks!). Catherine has an amazing style and I love how she can change skintones to this very pale tone. I actually tried to achieve that with my Christmas Card too, but obviously Catherine did a way better job on a different image.
Which I actually am not going to show you now! Nope, nope. I am going to save that one for later.
So these three I am posting here now are retouched by myself. As I mentioned earlier, I find it hard to achieve what I want but I think these three come very close to what I like to see. Especially the close-up beauty shot, I really like that one personally.
I will post a blog too soon about how the workshop itself was, with more photos. For now I want to show you these shots.
Each shot is from a different shoot we did that day; one beauty shoot, one edgy fashion (editorial?) shoot and another fashion shoot.
Most of my photos actually turned out to be close-ups of Maggie Alva's (the stunning model) face. I don't think I have any photo where the model is on from top to toe.
Enough talking. Here are the photos. Click on the photo to enlarge. :)
I loved the styling and the make-up from that day. If I remember correctly the styling was done by Krishan Parmar and MUA Leah Mabe. Both wonderful people and I loved meeting them. Oscar May too by the way, who was assisting that day (and is a great photographer himself as well!).
Anyway, as I mentioned before I will post a full report of the day soon-ish including more photos.
More photos made during the workshops (all three days) by other people can be found here on this Flickr group, it's great to see what other people made and how different everybody is. Also a blog made by Lara Jade about the workshop can be found here (and you can see me on one of the photos as well, find me!).
